Happy Monday everyone. Back
from two fashion weeks there is a lot to report about. Today I kick off with my
review of the Bora Aksu show..
The collection was leaded by a very feminine and childish style. The colors and cuts so as the platters reminded me to one of my earlier ballet classes and costumes.
A mixture of light materials and lace was also combined with intensive colors. A few looks were combined into color blocking, by combining rosa and yellow or even richer colors as violet and red.
Beside there was also a strong summer vibe going with the collection. Flowers crowns, so as flower prints were essential parts of the shown pieces.
"In the golden hour, after sunrise or before sunset, when the world is at its almost perfect beautiful"
As the designer describes his collection it was
inspired by childhood memories in his family's country house, which influence
was totally visible.
Drawing on memories of the lush garden full of lemon, organge and pomegranate trees, which colors were shown within the collection.
Also layering went with the outfits. I thing layering
is an endless trend, that it especially nowadays more important and popular
than ever before.
I totally enjoyed the collection and really liked the rich colors and the contrast which was given between colors and materials. It was my first show during London fashion week, and as I think a great start into the new season.
