Taking
a trip to the Shangri La Hotel is a must have for everyone, that's for sure. We
might didn't spend the nights at the beautiful tower, but we had a fascinating
dinner experience, that we would like to share today..
At the Hoi and we were spoiled with an Asian inspired dinner and a view
that is simply priceless. The glamour and luxury lifestyle in Dubai was
impressive. Each day was simply topped by something ever bigger, more golden
and more unique. Also when it comes
to dining at Shangri-La Hotel the standard is set very high.
Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai, offers a range of
sophisticated dining options through our eight restaurants and bars to
suit all tastes. The restaurants of the hotel have staff from the nations of
each featured cuisine, ensuring a most authentic dining experience with a dash
of Shangri-La’s renowned service.
Since I
personally prefer to easy Asian, Esra and I have decided for "Colourful flavors of modern Vietnam" at the priced
(Dubai's "Best Pan-Asian
Restaurant", What's on Awards, 2014.) restaurant
Hoi An.
At Hoi a we were warm welcomed by the charming team. It has been a lot
of fun to get together with the team and of course to have a super lovely and delicious
dinner together with Esra at the unique restaurant with a charming and
authentic atmosphere.
The interior of the restaurant, so as some of the food ingredients were
shipped from China to keep the original touch. Also the paper lamps are
originally from China and arranged a romantic and relaxing atmosphere.
For the starter we have been surprised with a Chinese soup, combining
fresh vegetables and tofu. The food in general has been very healthy and fresh.
Beside the soup we also enjoyed some summer rolls. Since I'm really into this
dish, the team prepared two different versions, both based on fresh herbals,
which not only completed the dish but also have been rich in taste and
conformed the high quality and the excellent standard of the kitchen.
Since China has also been occupied by France, the restaurant is also
giving this charm through food and interior. Per example the recurrent has blue
fences at the windows, a typically France inspired charmed, but also the lemon
sorbet in-between starter and main course has been really refreshing and
surprising for both of us.
Following we had again two various meals for the main dish. As mainly visible
I'm a huge fan of tofu so the kitchen was spoiling around with a lot of the plan
based protein delicatessen.
On top and much filled by all the delicious food each of us had an own
dessert. I decided for fresh mango pure, while sera had some very rich and
intensive chocolate conduce, topped with chocolate mousse and a raspberry
sorbet on side.
We still enjoyed some mock tails and fresh juices at the restaurant,
before we were invited for a visit at the Kandy bar. Sadly it has not been
Monday that day. The Kandy bar offers every Monday a ladies night, with a
"candy all you can eat" and other sweet surprises at the pool lasted
bar area.
We would like to thank the whole team for the
lovely invitation to the dinner and the beautiful afternoon we were able to
spend at the hotel spa. We can truly recommend going out for a romantic dinner
at one of the Shangri la hotel restraints in Dubai. This might also be a great
escape for a lovely valentine's day, where all dream could come true.
