Riding
through the wild desert of Dubai might be a dream for a lot of people. Not only
I was allowed to share this unique experience with my best friend Esra, also I
was shooting an outfit post in the middle of the hot desert of Dubai...
The
location of each outfit post is probably as much important as the style which
is shown. Beside the memories which are coming along while viewing these
photos, I'm also very happy with the results.
When resuming
our desert safari, I have to admit that I was a little unconfident about what
to wear. Since the Arabic style for women is traditionally based on a much
closed attitude, I decided to adapt these cultural belongings and decided to go
for "maxi".
Also in
Bali I have become a huge fan of the orange Monki skirt, which seems to follow
me through the wildest adventures. From monkey forest in Ubud and the desert in
Dubai, along to the casual Berlin city style. It seems like, that this skirt is
fitting in every city and style.
A fact
about me is that I'm totally fanning the color blocking trend. I also like a
minimalistic style but colors have always a happy vibe in my opinion.
Probably it
was just this behavior and mood of me that made me deciding for a bright red
blouse shirt, which I combined with the orange maxi skirt.
In order to
not "overload" the look I decided to avoid adding more colors and
decided for the contrasts black and white only. Also I kept the accessories
more or less very simple. With a small black shoulder bag, highlighted with
golden details and my new white Reef shoes I ensured to have a comfortable but
stylish look in the desert of Dubai.
For the
evening I took a black jacket with me, that was just saving me of the cold
wind. I must admit, that I really like this comfortable and easy style. Also for
an everyday look and in summer I would just wear this look over and over again.
