Last week I
have finally arrived in Miami. Swim week was just ahead and is still
continuing. As I wanted to celebrate my arrival for the upcoming fashion week I
spent my first evening at Villa Azur for dinner in their vibrant location...
Located in
the trendiest part of Miami Beach, at 23rd street and close to Collins Avenue
and Lincoln road, the restaurant is inviting guests into an urban city oasis.
The restaurant established into a hotspot for celebrities and gourmets and
offers a French inspired and influenced cuisine.
This elegant gourmet restaurant offers tantalizing French Mediterranean dishes prepared with an Italian twist. The food can be paired with a choice of the finest wines from the restaurants in-house wine cellar called La Cave d'Azur, or with a signature cocktail from the extensive drink list.
The restaurant features indoor and outdoor seats with a twist in design. The restaurant has an incredible impressive interior design which is designed by François Brossard. As a famous interior designer for A-List celebrities and venues all over the world he supplied Villa Azur with an outstanding and unique signature.
The romantic decor features an interesting contrast of vintage and modern motifs by mixing antique woods and chandeliers with contemporary furniture. The restaurant exudes chic elegance welcoming citizens from around the globe to have a memorable experience. In the later hours, Villa Azure will feature international DJs creating an energetic after-dinner ambiance.
Seated in
the outstanding oasis of Villa Azur I enjoyed a vegan dinner. All dished I ordered
were also listed on the menu. The French inspired restaurant is generally more
focused on fish dishes and also offers a variety of meat dishes, so as vegan
and vegetarian dishes.
The service
and the team in general are amazing. Everyone is very kind and loved to support
me with ideas about my order. I decided for a variety in my dishes and ordered
some small dishes, which I combined with each other. I rather preferred to have
a light snack, instead of a big meal in the evening.
When the
first course arrived, I was fascinated by the creative setup of my salad. The bowl
was covered with a sauce made of beetroot.
I'm sure it was one of my best salads so far, super delicious and rich
in taste. Mainly vegans are claimed to always end up with a standard salad but
this one was truly an experience.
I also
snacked on some French fries, as it's just so typical for France. However the
French fries I ordered were different than those I used to eat in past. Worth
to mention, that the French fries were not soaked in oil, they were also made
out of fresh potato and had a very fresh and delicious taste.
One of my
favorite dishes of France is ratatouille. I just had to try the ratatouille as
it's the perfect vegan dish and so health too. I really liked the fresh ingredients
and their rich taste. I was very lucky that the restaurant served me quinoa as
a side dish for my ratatouille, as quinoa is one of my favorite dishes.
Summed up I
really had a wonderful evening at Villa Azur. Since I still have two weeks left
in Miami I will for sure pay another visit. I totally enjoyed the evening and
can't wait to spent some more time at Villa Azur, a place to be when in Miami.
