Only one week passed by since my trip to Oiso. Together with Prince hotel I had the pleasure to stay for two nights at the Prince Hotel Oiso to have a spa and wellness escape..
After almost 2 weeks in busy Tokyo it was time for some relaxation. Within my stay at Oiso I also hit my second month anniversary of traveling around the world. A travel to Oiso from Tokyo is very convenient. It is only a 90-minute trip in total, operated with the train and a ride with the bus, stopping (almost) in front of the hotel.
When I arrived at the hotel my attention was directly focused on the architecture. The white building looked like a little castle, shaped by waves. After a quick check in at the front desk I was guided to my room in the 10th floor, which was even supplying an ocean view.
The room had a very modern touch. Small design elements brought the twists into the elegant design. Very fashionable was especially the bed, which has a belt decoration. An excellent feature is also the mini bar, which is free of charge and restocked during the stay.
The room had also a TV and a balcony, overlooking the pools. The bathroom was "Japanese style" with an additional bath tub and a big bag of complimentary beauty products. Also, the bathroom area was very wide spaced.
As I arrived late in Oiso I decided to go to bed early to enjoy breakfast on the next day without a rush. The hotel even has two restaurants for breakfast. I already had my breakfast by 7AM and was surprised about the big buffet, offering fresh juices, a salad bar and traditional Japanese food. Of course, an omelet station was offered as well. The restaurant offers buffet style only and opens until 10AM very day.
In my view, it is a very convention time for couples, solo travelers and families. After the breakfast, I went back to my room for a quick change, before I went to the spa area.
The spa area has a total of two floors. While there is one floor only supplying the traditional Onsen (hot springs), there is also an additional floor with saunas and a rooftop pool, including Jacuzzis and sun beds. The Onsen are separeated, which the pool area is mixed.
A lifeguard is watching the area by all time. The pool is indoor but also has an outside area and is an infinity pool, giving lush views on the ocean, just in front of the hotel.
After a few hours, I decided to do some sports. As it is too hot outside during the summer season I went to the fitness room and had a little workout on the treadmill, followed by some leisure time in the lounge and a refreshing drink by the bar, which is located next to the check in counters.
The travel to Oiso was just one of the best things to go for after my Tokyo trip. I can highly recommend to not only focus on the big cities when traveling to Japan. The beaches and beach resorts, so as Oiso, are worth a trip.
