After my travel through the small provinces of Japan I was craving for another big city adventure. After a few hours with the train I made it to Osaka and had the pleasure to stay with the Swissotel Osaka Nankai Osaka Nankai, located inside Namba station..
The Swissôtel Osaka Nankai is one of thousands of Hotels of Accor hotels. While I was looking for an accommodation in Osaka, I remembered my pleasant stay in Singapore with Swissôtels. As I'm a fan of the hotel chain I was very happy to be welcomed again for a two-night stay.
This time the arrival to the hotel was one of the smoothest one’s ever. As I just arrived with the train it was very convenient to change to the local subway and exit at Namba station. From there on it was only as few steps to the entrance hall, where I entered the elevator to drive up to the check in, located in the 6th floor.
In the lobby, I was welcomed with a cold towel and the staff took care of my luggage to provide a smooth check in. After that I was guided to the room in the 33rd floor, next to the executive lounge. Arrived in the room I was first overwhelmed with the view above Osaka. As I was absolutely centered placed in town, I could overlook through a far distance. A great feture is also a free handy device, with which one can do free international calls and has unlimited internet access.
Also, the room itself was very charming. A wide spaced bed, a desk and an all marbled bathroom with a huge bathtub were the perfect #feelwelcome treatment for me. Moreover, I was pleasured with some snacks and a cute welcome letter. After a quick refreshment, I made myself ready for dinner in the Hana Goyomi restaurant, where the sushi chefs prepared a special menu for me, all vegan of course.
The restaurant is very special, as one can watch the chef at the open sushi bar to prepare the food in front of one’s eyes. Also, there is a wide offer beside sushi and the traditional Japanese sake.
After the dinner, I went upstairs to the lounge to have some snacks and chilled drinks and tea, before I went to bed. I had a very tight and calming sleep. I fell asleep with the view on a skyline, full of lights, looking like a thousand stars.
In the morning, I got up early for the breakfast. While there is also breakfast served in the lounge I decided to go to Tavola 36 which is in the 36th floor and has a panorama skyline view. The buffet offered all kind of foods and drinks and even my favorite coconut water was offered on the buffet.
After the breakfast, I went back to the room and got ready for some time at the Pürovel spa. The spa offered access to a hot bath, a gym, pool, terrace and of course treatment rooms. I enjoyed a 60-minute massage and loved the service.
Different from other spas I was excited about the fact that I could customize my treatment out of different oils to be used. Later that day I also went to the city.
Nama station is full of shops and restaurants and a good place to do sightseeing and shopping. Also, 100円 shops are nearby. As it was already my last day in Osaka I decided to simply spend some more time in the hotel and went to the bathtub.
The stay with the Swissôtel Osaka Nankai was again a superb experience I'm glad about. The hotel has an amazing service and assisted me with my luggage. I was being escorted to my train gate, as I have been so packed. This ist service as it should be.
The Swissôtel in Osaka is by the way the only Swissôtel in Japan and celebrates already its 14th anniversary. However, the hotel still looks modern and has an international team to assist the guests, so as the unique swiss style. Definitely pay a visit at the hotel. Even their candy bar in the lobby is worth it.
