Back in Japan I´m finally able to discover more of the Prince hotel properties. Prince hotels is a Japanese hotel group and my favorite when staying in Japan, as they feature properties all over the country. During my last visit in Japan I was forced to wait a few hours at the Nagoya train station due to heavy rain. Since then I was interested to explore more of Nagoya and was happy to stay at the Nagoya Prince hotel Sky Tower for my current Japan travel, luckily this time with sunshine and a pleasant time in the hotel and around..

The Nagoya Prince hotel Sky Tower is located in the heart of Nagoya, with the JR station just 10 minutes by walk or one short stop with the subway away. The hotel has a total of 170 rooms and its lobby in the 31st floor. Rooms start in the 32nd floor, up the 36th, making sure every guest has a view above the city.

The design concept of the hotel is a floating boat in the sky. The 1st floor has a suitcase decoration and the 31st floor sets guests into a boat in the clouds, while the rooms perform as cabins. The rooms do all have panoramic views with a 280cm ceiling height.

I was staying in the 35th floor and honestly, the first thing for me to see was the view, a wonderful sunset above Nagoya – my heart was fluttering. The design of the room is very modern and suits the luxurious charm of the hotel. A plasma TV, couch corner, king-size bed and a bath tub were just some of the features of the sky king room I was staying at.

As the hotel is well centered in the city with the train access from the 2nd floor and busses around, I decided to spend my first day doing some sightseeing. Nagoya is known as the 4th most populated city of Japan and it featured a lot of historic spots and beautiful temples, such as a bug buddha statue.

For those who like to stay in or get active on their own, the hotel also features a complimentary fitness room in the 32nd floor, also offering a panorama view above the city and some refreshments.

The sky dining restaurant Tenku is in the lobby level, 31st floor, and open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea time and bar. The breakfast starts by 6:30 am and offers even pizza. The selection is wideranged and also a lot of vegan and vegetarian options are offered. Basically, everyone will have a good start into the day with this breakfast buffet. For a quick shooting, I also visited the restaurant for dinner. During dinner guests have access to various kind of foods and even an ice cream corner.

Free WIFI is accessible all over the hotel and work very well. Also, a business center is in the 32nd floor and the convention hall is accessible through the 1st floor. In the neighborhood of the hotels are any shops and things to do. As previously experienced, I had a pleasant stay with Prince hotel and a great partner to discover Nagoya.
