TRAVEL | WYNDHAM RESIDENCES THE PALM

Today marks the first anniversary of Wyndham Residences The Palm, where I was staying during my trip to Dubai just a few weeks ago. Within this article I want to share my full review of my stay at the luxurious new property, located in one of the most glamorous and exclusive districts of Dubai..

Dubai Palm is well known as a holiday destination not only for tourists but also for locals. The palm shaped island is famous for hosting luxurious hotels and fine dining restaurants, making it a suitable location for Wyndham Residences The Palm. Expected from the name of the property, one could already guess that the property doesn’t only hold a hotel offer, more than that, also residences are offered for rental. Unfortunately, I only had a two-night stay at the hotel, wishing that I had the availability to stay for a longer period myself or even moving in, coming from the fact, that I enjoyed the slowed atmosphere at the hotel and Dubai still remains to be one of my favorite cities in the world, where I could even see myself living in future.

In detail I was staying in a deluxe studio with a terrace, offering astonishing views of the seaside and dramatic sunsets during my stay at the property. The 68 square meter studio was equipped with a full kitchen and also a washing machine, perfect for guests who are intending to stay for a longer period. The room style was very spacious and bright, with a modern design and art pieces included into the interior. Free highspeed Wi-Fi is available within the entire hotel.

A hotel is by far more than a room or a simple place to sleep. Especially when it comes to luxury hotels, guests can expect a “different” experience. The 5-star Wyndham Residences The Palm offers guests multiple activities and facilities to use, including a private beach and pool access, along with a new and fully equipped gym. As for me, I enjoyed the private beach the most, as it would give views on the skyline and felt surely quiet. However, also the pool area is wide spaced, which means that even through the fact that families stay at the property, one could still enjoy peaceful moments without feeling distracted. Something that I would like to add in general is the eco-friendly mindset of the hotel. One of these small changes are multiple water stations, ditching plastic and making a memorable statement. This resource-saving approach becomes visible due to many small changes within the hotel.

Besides offering a lot of facilities itself, the hotel is also surrounded by multiple sights and things to explore. For families the Aqua Venture water park is probably a place to go which is only 2 km away from the hotel. Shopping is very popular when it comes to Dubai and the Nakheel mall is also only 5 km away. The hotel provides a complementary shuttle on a daily basis from the hotel to the mall - every day, both ways. Although Dubai Palm is a little decentered from the main city life of the golden metropolis Dubai, one can easily reach Marina and Downtown in about 20 minutes only.

Mentioned in the beginning of the article, the property only opened one year ago, which might be a reason for the given fact, that multiple modern influences are integrated into the structure of service. I was positively surprised when I had breakfast in the 20four restaurant and bar which is open for all day dining. Breakfast opens from 7 to 11 AM on the ground floor and I must tell I was caught by the fact that there was vegan scramble egg on the menu included into the breakfast buffet actually. Besides, the restaurant offered a lot of healthy and plant-based options, including hot meals and fresh fruits.

There is a total of 102 rooms available, divided in studio or apartment, offering up to three bedrooms with a modern interior and multiple amenities being provided. The five-star property is suitable for families, couples and solo travelers, just like me.
